White Branches is located at 100 E Montgomery St in Mount Vernon, WA, on the second floor of the historic Old Town Grainery Building. Guests enter through the main shared entrance with Il Granio on the first floor. Once inside, head to the left to access our stairwell or elevator to the second floor, where your tearoom or event experience begins.

There are two shared parking lots and street parking available directly outside our building. During the peak April season, guests can also use the paid lot across the train tracks just outside our venue (approximately $2.00). In addition, the new Library Commons offers plenty of free parking and is only a short walk away

You can view all of our tea tier menu selections on our website. We also offer à la carte and dessert options; however, these items vary by day and are based on current availability.

White Branches is the creation of owner Matthew White, inspired by both his last name and the idea of branching out into many forms of creativity—hospitality, storytelling, design, and immersive experiences. Our jackalope logo reflects this spirit: a White Rabbit–like figure stepping through magical doorways, with antlers symbolizing the branching ideas and imagination that shape the venue. White Branches first opened in 2022, but early building challenges—including roof leaks and a major pipe freeze—led to several closures and rebuilds. After extensive restoration, the venue has been in full operation since April 1, 2024, bringing a renewed sense of magic to Skagit County. Matthew envisioned and created a storybook-style venue where guests can step into a delightful tea service or a magical event and feel as though they’re entering a shared story together. Come step in the experience of White Branches!

The owner often jokes—quite truthfully—that the items find him, not the other way around. The venue’s décor evolves organically, shifting as the space’s needs, events, and guest capacity change. This approach keeps White Branches flexible, imaginative, and always ready to transform for the next magical experience.
